How do you divide your time, between work, private life, hobbies and passions? I must say, I find my job very stimulating and also well integrated into my daily life. Having passions and hobbies is also extremely important so I try to take time off every day. It helps me to unwind.

Have you found a balance?

It depends on the period. Sometimes I reach a very balanced style of life and other times it’s totally unbalanced. I think it’s something we need to work on every day, it requires a lot of awareness and mindfulness.

Where do you spend most of your time when you are working?

I travel when I can, it’s my passion. My aim is to visit all 208 countries of the world. At the moment, I have reached 73 but there’s still time. When I’m at home I like playing tennis and taking care of the plants. I have recently developed a passion for tropical plants, which I study and cultivate.

Describe your ideal condition when you are working.

Any place is fine, as long as there is excellent lounge music: I am much more productive with music.

What helps you give your best?

Wanting to continue to learn and grow, being always more aware of my capabilities and limits.

What aspect would you improve?

Patience. That is also why I started cultivating plants. You need time and patience and that is what they teach me every day. I would often want everything to happen straight away but waiting is a moment to be lived, in itself.

What is stimulating you most at this moment?

Colleagues, investors, the experts on our platform and clients. All people who rotate around Beyond The Box and who help me to bring about this change. It is extremely stimulating to see how many people’s lives are impacted thanks to what we do.

Indicate a place that has particularly inspired you.

Guatemala, near Antigua, the Acatenango volcano. A two-day trekking challenge climbing up to the top: it was one of the most inspirational moments of my life because I didn’t think I would make it so high. Reaching the peak with your own strength makes you feel invincible. I often recall that moment when I feel tired or weary because it helps me to remember what we are able to do when we have the right mindset.
